PCI Express Concern Over Non- Issuance Adv To Valley Newspapers

In a statement issued by The Press Council of India they have taken cognizance on the complaint filed by Kashmir editors Guild and protest by the major newspapers of Kashmir by way of running front blank page on 11.03.19 for non issuance of goverment ad to two leading newspapers of the valley namely Greater Kashmir and Kashmir reader without giving any reason. A notice for statement in Reply has been issued to the goverment of J&K and the state information department.

The council views with concern such incidents, which lends to undermine the freedom of press.
