April 13: A girl (name withheld) resident of Aragam Bandipora breathed her last after consuming some poisonous substance at her home.
The girl as is alleged was raped by her father and consequently she consumed some poisonous substance. She was taken to hospital for medical treatment however, she breathed her last. The accused, her father, has been arrested. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body will be handed over to her relatives.
A case FIR No 04/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Aragam and further investigations in the matter are going on.
