DDC convened meeting of Health and PHE department, discussed issue of growing water borne diseases

 

DODA,May 29: With an aim to regulate the growing cases of patients affected by the contaminated water across the district, DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today convened a meeting of Health and PHE department.

During the meeting DDC Doda was informed in detail about the growing issue of water borne diseases like acute diarrheal diseases which needs urgent attention,so that timely regulations will be made.

Further through power point presentation DDC was also apprised with those areas where its affecting on large scale to different age groups.particularly children’s of 0- 5 age group.

DDC Doda immediately directed the concerned authorities of health department to work in coordination with education department in providing the chlorine tablets to be used in the schools and also trained them about its proper usage.

Besides officials of PHE were directed to submit the list of all spring sources across the district within the next 15 days so that immediate action will be taken on those sources because large portion of population particularly in villages are dependent on those sources which provides unhygienic water supply.

Moreover CEO doda are directed to ensure the cleaning of all water tanks in the schools across the district within 15 days of time period.

Others present in the meeting were ADDC Doda Imam Din,CPO Doda,CEO Doda,DPO Doda,CMO Doda,BMO’s of health department and AEE’s of PHE department.
