Srinagar, June 18: The management committee of the Kashmir Press Club held a meeting and discussed the issue of holding elections of the society. As defined by the rules an election committee has been formed and senior editor Manzoor Anjum has been nominated as the chief returning officer. The other members of committee shall be:

Zahoor Ahmad Shora
Jehangir Aziz
Mukhtar Khan
Khalid Hussain
Rashid Rahil
Mudasir Ahmad Kaloo
The election committee will also have two external observers.
In the meeting it was decided to hold the elections on 29th of June. The nomination forms can be issued from 20th of June and the last date of submission shall be 25th of June. Last date for withdrawal of nomination will be 26th June and the forms will be scrutinised on 27th of June. Detailed rules and eligibility criteria, procedure etc shall be available at the club office. The elections will be held for all 11 members including 4 executive members (office bearers) as per the rules defined in the constitution of KPC.
