PC will deliver an economically vibrant and politically empowered J&K: Sajad Lone

Srinagar, Jul 25 : Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone on Thursday said that PC is the only party which will stand up for the people of Kashmir to ensure that the present agonizing phase for the people of Kashmir comes to an end.

While welcoming Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai, former NC Constituency Incharge from Charar-e-Sharif along with hundreds of workers, Sajad said that Peoples Conference is all set and ready to be the vehicle of change and deliver to the people of Kashmir a vibrant J&K which is holistic, inclusive and aware of its special identity and rights.

“We believe in economic empowerment. It’s our belief that strong political empowerment cannot be achieved with economic empowerment”, he added

Castigating NC for having disempowered the masses economically for decades, Sajad said that an impending disaster in the form of a deep economic recession staring at us.

“The traditional parties have disempowered the masses economically for decades. The NC which talks about getting in power and leading people has to answer to the people of Kashmir. They have been in power for decades. If they have not been able to succeed in decades, how can they succeed now? They same set of people, the same set of cronies, the same principles of corruption and bloodshed define and govern them even now. They will be as bad as they have been in the past”, he asserted.

“Kashmir is going through testing times at the moment and we want to ask the NC that the high-pitched election battle, the war of words, the barrage of statement on a daily basis promising the moon, where on earth are their MP’s? Why are they not standing up for the people of Kashmir? Why are they scared and not speaking up on the state of affairs in Kashmir at the moment?”

Sajad said that PC will stand up for the people of Kashmir and be their voice. We will ensure to call a spade a spade and do what it takes to ensure that the present agonizing phase for the people of Kashmir comes to an end.

“We cherish a dream of an economically vibrant and a politically empowered Kashmir, which makes its inhabitants empowered enough to stand up for their rights, dignity and special identity”, he concluded.
