Geelani taken to hospital, diagnosed with chest infection

Srinagar, Dec 18 : The incarcerated ailing Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani was on Wednesday taken to the hospital for medical check-up where doctors have diagnosed him with chest infection.

Official sources told the wire service—that Geelani was today taken to Barzullah hospital where X-ray was conducted to the ailing leader.

The doctors have diagnosed him with chest infection.

Geelani is undergoing house detention since last eight years. The ailing leader is kept under house detention at his office-cum-residence at Hyderpora.

Sources said that Geelani was later shifted to his Hyderpora residence.

Pertinently, Geelani has been suffering from acute chest disease and has been put on oxygen. (KNO)
