335 officers including 136 KAS officers fail to furnish option to serve in J&K and Ladakh.

Chief Secretary takes a serious note.

Srinagar, Jan 4,: Chief Secretary BVR Subhramanyam has taken a serious note as over 335 government employees including 136 KAS officers have failed to furnish details of option to serve in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) or the UT of Ladakh.

Issuing strict instructions to the concerned Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments (HOD), Chief Secretary has directed them to submit the information by uploading it on the government website immediately.

The General Administration Department (GAD) OF Jammu and Kashmir vide order no. GAD (Ser) Genl/113/2019-1 dated 1st January 2020 pointed out that  that many government officers have failed to submit or upload  the information about the option sought by the Government from the UT employee for their allocation in twin UTs, through a circular on  11th October 2019 and deadline for submission fixed on 22, October, 2019.

According to officials the total number of officials, which include 136 KAS officers as well have so far failed to submit the consent for the option of swapping their postings, anywhere in the twin UTs. The government has indicated that stern action will be taken against the officers, who will fail to submit their option any further. (CNS)
