Three militants killed in Tral Gunfight Identified

Srinagar : Three local militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit were killed on Tuesday night in a gunfight with the security forces in south Kashmir’s Tral.

An official said top Hizb Commander among two militants were killed in an midnight encounter in Diver area of South Kashmir’s Tral.

The slain militants identified as Jehangir Rafiq Wani of Amirabad, Tral who took over as HM commander after death of Hammad Khan in January 2020.

Two other militants identified as Raja Umer of Lurgam, Tral and Uzair Ah Bhat of Chesti Colony, Baramulla.

Officials further said the bodies of all three militants were recovered and incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, were seized from the encounter site.
