DDC Ganderbal visits GGHSS, PHC Tulmulla

Takes stock of development of Island at Manbal

GANDERBAL, MARCH 02: The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today visited Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGMSS), Tulmulla, Primary Heath Centre (PHC) Tulmulla and site of Island which is being developed within the Manasbal Lake.

During the visit the DDC was accompanied by Tehsildars of Tulmulla, Tehsildar Lar and other concerned.

While visiting GGHSS Tulmulla, the DDC reviewed the functioning of the school and inspected the proceedings of morning assembly, bedsides checking the attendance of staff.

Interacting with the students, he urged them work hard to for their better future and to serve the society. He asked inculcate moral values among the students besides involving them in sports activities. 

During his visit to PHC Tulmulla, the DDC stressed for punctuality of the doctors and Para-medical staff. He enquired about the availability of medicines and other facilities being provided to the patients at the health institution.

He directed the hospital administration to ensure cleanliness, bedsides adhering to the guidelines regarding segregation of waste.

Later, DDC visited the site of Island which is being developed within the Manasbal Lake and took stock of status of ongoing work.

Executive Engineer, Wular Manasbal Development Authority informed the DDC that the project is coming up at a cost of Rs 4.43 crore, approved under Pradhan Mantri Development Plan. He was further informed that the project will be completed by this September.

The DDC urged the Executive Engineer to speed up the pace of work on the project, which will be main tourist attraction in the area and will be instrumental in increasing tourist footfall in the district.
