Handwara Police arrested two more Notorious Drug peddlers in two cases of NDPS

1 KG 300 grams contraband material and digital weighing machine recovered.

HANDWARA, March 02-2020.
In its continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse under the command of SP Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, Handwara Police continues it’s war against drugs.

    Based on reliable information a naka was laid at Humpora Crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kralgund. During checking one  person namely

Ab Majeed Lone S/o Gh Rasool Lone R/o Humpora Kralgund was apprehended and during his personal search 1 kg and 100 grams of charas like substance wrapped in the maize covers and one digital weighing machine were recovered from his possession.

   In this connection case FIR No. 10/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against him in Police Station Kralgund and investigation taken up.

In another incident, a naka was laid at Adoora Bridge in the jurisdiction of Police Station Qalamabad. During checking, three persons were intercepted in suspicious circumstance who on seeing the naka party tried to escape from the spot and one person among them was apprehended and two others fled away  from the spot. 

     The apprehended person was identified as

Ashiq Hussain War S/o Ab Aziz War R/o Chak Adoora and during his personal search 200 gm charas has been recovered from his possession.

The other two persons who fled  from the spot  were identified as Tanveer Ahmad War S/o Ab Aziz War R/o Chak Adoora Qalamabad and Sajad Ahmad War S/o Gulam Nabi War R/o Lach Mawar. 

In this context Case FIR NO. 09/2020 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Qalamabad and investigation taken up.

  This effort is hugely hailed by the general masses. Handwara Police has appealed general public to co-operate in sharing all information related to drug abuse so the curative steps can be initiated.
