Police files case against people for violating govt orders

Pulwama, March 23 : Police have filed a case against a number of people for violating government directive in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

The police action followed an order by district administration, calling for registration of the FIR against violators.

Confirming the registering of the case, a police officer told that the FIR (35/2020 under 188 IPC and other sections has been lodged in police station Shopian against the people who violated government orders in Shopian town on Sunday.

Government has issued slew of directions including the restricting the assembly of people in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir where four positive cases, one in Kashmir and three in Jammu had been reported so far. (GNS)
