Guidelines, SOPs formulated to relax restrictions: DC B’la

BARAMULLA, JUNE 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today informed that special guidelines and SOPs have been formulated to implement the government’s decision of giving relaxations in a phased manner.

He said that a viable mechanism has been chalked out to ensure that public health is not adversely affected viz-a-viz relaxation in COVID-19 restrictions.

While elaborating the details as envisaged in the formulated SOPs, DC said that a special time schedule has been formed for different categories of traders wherein the said traders shall open their establishments as per time given schedule.

He said that the odd-even system has been incorporated and the shops have been given numbers to work on alternate days and the move was taken to curb any kind of gathering in the market.

Regarding the cleanliness, DC said that a special fumigation drive was launched during which the entire market was fumigated to ensure sanitation for mitigating the risk of infection and such sanitation drives shall continue every day at the appropriate time.

Dr Itoo further said that 6 SRTC buses shall ply on 13 vital routes connecting different regions of the district and added that special parking slots have been designated for parking of vehicles and any kind of laxity shall be viewed seriously.

Appealing different stakeholders to cooperate with the administration, DC urged upon them to follow all SOPs and guidelines in letter and spirit.

He said that special magistrates have been appointed who shall monitor the implementation of these advisories.
