Srinagar, July 09 (KINS): Senior BJP leaders expressed deep shock and grief over the killing of party’s young face from north Kashmir’s Bandipora district stating that such attacks can’t silence the “pro-India” voices in Kashmir and youth will continue to join BJP in more numbers.

Talking to news agency Kashmir Indpeth News Service (KINS) over phone from New Delhi, BJP national vice president and J&K affairs incharge, Avinash Rai Khanna said that BJP leader Waseem Bari, his father and brother were killed in a “cold blooded murder.”  “He was a civilian and a dedicated worker of BJP. We denounce his killing in strong words. Such attacks are condemnable and let’s make it clear that killing of pro-India people and youth in Kashmir can’t be silenced by the gun,” he said and added that the youth in Kashmir have decided their future with the growing India, especially after J&K’s re-integration post Article 370 revocation,”

He said such attacks can’t silence the genuine voices in Kashmir, especially those of youth who see growing India as a big hope for their future.

Meanwhile speaking to KINS, BJP’s J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur said that the killing of Waseem and his family members is a “cowardly and dastardly act” which deserves all forms of condemnation.

“Waseem was a committed BJP soldier and would work for the poor people in Bandipora district. He would leave no stone unturned to help every poor in his constituency and the district. Perhaps he was killed for helping the poor lot,” Thakur said, adding that those behind the killing of Waseem should be taken to task.

“The killers of Waseem had no religion. Their religion is terror and terrorism. They will be punished soon. I urge the police and all the security agencies to track down the killers of Waseem down soon and punish them in the same way they killed our young colleague.”(KINS)
