DDC reviews progress of PMGSY projects

ANANTNAG, AUGUST 18: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K.K.Sidha today reviewed the progress of PMGSY road projects of Anantnag district.

On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned Executive Engineers of PMGSY Anantnag and Kulgam to ensure the mecadamization of targeted road length by the 15th September 2020 positively with utility shifting of electric poles, transformers and PHE water pipes.

The Executive Engineers of PMGSY Anantnag and Kulgam informed the meeting about the work progress in terms of projects completed and others that are at the verge of completion.

The concerned officers also informed the meeting about progress achieved under PMGSY, adding that out of 242 approved schemes, 181 schemes have been completed, connecting 147 habitations by the end of July, 2020.

The DDC directed ADC and  concerned engineers of PDD, PHE, PMGSY to ensure the clearance of bottlenecks and make the agenda ready for the PNC meeting of Ex. Er’s of PMGSY Anantnag, Kulgam, PHE, PDD, revenue officers, land owners of the concerned areas with submission of Shajrah Khasra of the land, structures and trees for transfer of compensation in favour of the concerned owners.

The DDC also directed to deposit the compensation cheque of Rs.16.00 lacs in favour of the house owner at Manzmoh that has already been deposited by PMGSY Kulgam with ACR Anantnag.

He also asked for spot verification of the projects and utility shifting including electric poles    and water pipes to ensure the safety of the roads.

The meeting was attended by ADC Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, JD Planning, Ex. Er’s of PMGSY Anantnag, Kulgam, Ex. Er’s of PHE Qazigund and PDD Anantnag.
