The administration also said that there is no room for any complacency and people need to take every precaution as this is the only way to contain the spread of the virus.
People need to understand the gravity of the situation and take precautions. There is no room for any laxity or complacency at this particular hour. People need to follow the guidelines properly that include wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and washing hands by using sanitizers and soap frequently,” one of the top officials of the Divisional administration wishing anonymity told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
He added that this was the only way to contain the virus spread in J&K as far as people’s role is concerned.
As far as the government’s role, he said that the government was taking all measures by keeping health set up ready to treat Covid-19 patients. “Government has been appealing to people time and again to take precautions. It is for the people to take precautions not the government. On our part, we are taking measures that include robust testing, collection of samples and ensuring proper quarantine for those who have serious symptoms,” the official said.
He, however, said that despite the surge in cases, J&K is doing well.(KINS)
