DDC Kathua reviews progress of RIDF projects


KATHUA, JANUARY 23: District Development Commissioner, Om Prakash, reviewed the progress of ongoing Rural Infrastructural Development Fund (RIDF) Projects, funded by NABARD.
The DDC took detailed review of 62 RIDF projects under implementation in the district. The projects are funded by NABARD to upgrade the development infra especially Rural Road and Bridges, Flood protection work, Animal husbandry, Sheep husbandry, water supply scheme and PHC and ISM sectors.
The DDC advised all the concerned departments to speed up the work and complete the projects well in time so that more funds are sought for new projects. He also advised departments to submit project completion certificates for the completed projects. He further directed to ensure regular field visits and feedback from PRIs for ensuring quality parameters in execution of the projects.
It was also informed in the meeting that two new projects including Construction of flood protection work at river UJH and modernization of Kathua canal for agriculture have been sanctioned under RIDF in Kathua district to be funded under NABARD.
Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, DDM NABARD, ADMO, Engineers of works department and other concerned officers were also present.
