Army hosts veterinary camp for Gujjar& Bakarwal populace at Prahender

RAMBAN, JULY 01(KINS):   Indian Army today organised a Veterinary camp for the livestock of Gujjar and Bakkarwal populace here in far flung area Prahender of the district Ramban under its flagship Sadbhavana project.

This camp was primarily organised keeping in view the large number of animals and cattle present in the area, and paucity of veterinary medical facilities to support them. Veterinary support to the livestock was provided in collaboration with civil veterinary doctors.  A total number of 78 livestock were treated.

The camp contributed enormously in helping the civilians in improving their livestocks as cattle rearing remains the primary occupation of the people in the area. The continuous and relentless effort of the Army towards the conduct of such camps has helped in establishing a good rapport between the Army and the Awaam. (KINS)
