DDC Kulgam reviews implementation of JJM in the district

KULGAM, JULY10(KINS): The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting here to review implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), providing of tap water connection to every household by or before 2022 in the district.

 

At the outset, it was informed that 07 projects are under implementation and rest 31 are in the tendering process and the same shall also be undertaken within a month and the projects worth more than a crore are to be executed by PDMC.

 

The DDC instructed the concerned officers that the tendering process for ensuring piped water supply to left-out schools/Anganwadi Centres /Health Institutions/Gram Sabhas be floated in two (02) days time.

 

He also instructed the Chief Engineer to provide approvals to the concerned at an earliest.

 

Further, SE Hydraulic Circle was instructed to speed up the technical proposal for engagement of the Implementation Support Agency (ISA).

 

During the review meeting, the DDC directed the officers that a proper road map is worked out in consultation with all the stakeholders for the implementation/speed-up of JJM and other programmes of the Jal Shakti department for the welfare of people.

 

Present on the occasion were ADDC, CPO, Executive Engineers and AEEs of the concerned departments. (KINS)
