Jammu: 08 Sep (KINS ) : Indian Army, in its effort to spread awareness on various socio-economic issues, organised a lecture cum interaction on common concern issues of people of Kalal, Nowshera (J&K). Social responsibility makes individuals accountable for fulfilling their civic duties. Correct discharge of social responsibilities by citizens keep a balance between economic growth and welfare of society.
Under the ambit of social responsibility towards our citizens, Indian Army through this lecture made populace understand the ill-effects of drug abuse. The individuals especially the youth, were educated about the description of drugs that can harm them both mentally and physically.
The gathering was also educated about the opportunities available for youth and educational requirements to avail these opportunities for employment and better future. The social responsibilities of Civil Administration, elected representatives of District Development Councils, Block Development and Panchayat Officials and role played by them in overall upliftment and development of areas was also highlighted. A large number of individuals attended the lecture.
