Advisor Farooq Khan visits Budgam; takes stock of sports infrastructure development

SRINAGAR, SEP 25 ( KINS): Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq khan, today visited Budgam and took stock of sports infrastructure being developed in the district.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Ikram Ullah Tak, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Nasir, Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul , District Youth Services and Sports Officer and engineers of the department accompanied the Advisor.

Advisor visited sports stadium Budgam and newly constructed indoor stadium which has a volley ball court, facilities for badminton, table tennis, judo, karate, kabbadi and other indoor games.

The Secretary Sports Council briefed the Advisor about the steps being taken up by the department for development of sports infrastructure in the district.

Advisor impressed upon the officer to explore every possibility for creation of world class sports facilities for the sportspersons so that they excel in games of their choice at national and international level.( KINS)
