Amit Shah Srinagar visit: Will speak to youth of Kashmir, not Pakistan, says Home Minister

Srinagar:, Oct 25 ( KINS) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday asserted that he will talk to the people of Kashmir rather than talking to Pakistan to resolve the issues in the Valley.

He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects in Srinagar today, concluding his three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

Amit Shah is in Jammu and Kashmir, the first time since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.

After arriving back in Srinagar, Shah and Lt Governor Manoj Sinha offered prayers at Kheer Bhawani Durga temple in Ganderbal

While addressing a gathering in Srinagar, the Union Home Minister said, “I was taunted, condemned… Today I want to speak to you frankly, which is why there is no bulletproof or security here… Farooq Sahab has suggested me to speak with Pakistan but I will speak to the youth & people of Valley…”

Yesterday, he visited forward areas at the Makwal border in J&K with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and interacted with soldiers posted there and local residents.

The Union Minister also met with the delegations of Kashmiri Pandits, Gujjar-Bakarwal community, Pahadi community and Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce in Jammu.( KINS)
