KUPWARA, DECEMBER 01 ( KINS): Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din who is also President, Zila Sanik Welfare Board and Chairman of Armed Forces Flag Day Fund today convened a meeting of members of District Sanik Welfare Board to review the arrangements for making contribution towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion and it was given out that in order to create awareness amongst citizens about welfare of defence services and to raise funds for Armed Forces Flag Day Fund a run shall be organised in Kupwara Town on 7th of this month.
It was also given out that a list of most deserving ex-servicemen and their dependents especially from handicapped category shall be identified so that they are encouraged by giving them some relief items and assistance out of AFFD Fund.( KINS)
