Srinagar, Dec 16: In a commendable display of commitment to public service, the Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain presided over a five and a half hours long grievance redressal program in Srinagar.
As per the officials, a total of 110 individuals registered their grievances during the session, where the DGP patiently listened to each concern and assured redressal on merit.
“The DGP, went a step further by issuing on-the-spot instructions in certain cases, directing concerned police heads to ensure prompt and quality resolution.”
Emphasizing the significance of the public grievance redressal initiative, the DGP highlighted its dual role in addressing internal concerns within the police force and providing assistance to the public in various cases.
According to the DGP, every case is meticulously examined based on its merits, underscoring the commitment to fairness and justice.
He expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support of the public, asserting that result-oriented policing is unattainable without such collaboration.
The DGP concluded by reaffirming the police force’s dedication to working for law-abiding citizens and reiterated the importance of the ongoing partnership between the police and the community for a safer and harmonious society.
