Srinagar, Jan 20: In a commendable outreach effort, the 130 and 180 Battalions organized a Free Medical Camp today, January 20, 2024, at Mount View Public School in Dangerpora Padgampora. The event was part of their Civic Action Programme, aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the local community.
The medical camp witnessed active participation from residents of the village, where a range of medical services were offered free of charge. The 130 & 180 Bn teams distributed medicines to those in need, contributing to the well-being of the community.
In a gesture of goodwill, the Commanding Officers (CO) of 130 & 180 Battalions went beyond medical aid by donating a First Aid Box to Mount View Public School. This thoughtful contribution aims to enhance the school’s preparedness for any health-related incidents and ensure the safety of students.
Additionally, the COs conducted a counseling session for the students, providing valuable insights and guidance. The interactive session aimed at addressing various aspects of student well-being, fostering a holistic approach to education.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the 130 & 180 Battalions not only to the security of the region but also to actively engaging with and supporting the local community through meaningful contributions to healthcare and education.
