Srinagar, Jan 24:Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri asserted on Wednesday that Kashmir has not only succeeded in upholding peace and order but has also achieved significant milestones in various domains, attributing these accomplishments to the indispensable cooperation of the public.
Speaking at Bhakshi Stadium Srinagar, Bidhuri highlighted the record-breaking influx of tourists to Srinagar’s Tulip Garden in 2023. Despite the potential for traffic congestion, proactive measures taken the previous year successfully averted such issues.
Reflecting on events like the G20, Amarnath Yatra, Muharram Procession, and others, Bidhuri emphasized the collective celebration of these occasions, embodying the cherished spirit of “Kashmiriyat” for which Kashmir is renowned.
Expressing pride in his involvement during these significant moments, Bidhuri urged the public to sustain their cooperative efforts for ongoing success.
Commending the contributions of contingents involved in the Republic Day Rehearsal celebrations, Bidhuri acknowledged their role in shaping a positive narrative of progress and unity in Kashmir.
