Srinagar, Feb 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has maintained that several prominent political figures from diverse parties are poised to join the BJP in the coming days.
According to BJP sources the discussions between the BJP leadership and influential leaders from various political backgrounds have been ongoing.
While specific names have not been disclosed, it is expected that these figures wield significant influence in their respective constituencies.
“The decision to switch sides is purportedly driven by a variety of factors, including disillusionment with the party, aspirations for greater representation, and alignment with the BJP’s vision for the region,” BJP sources said.
The party, which has been steadily expanding its presence in Jammu and Kashmir, views these potential defections as a testament to its growing influence and appeal among diverse segments of the population.
“The impending entry of these leaders into the BJP fold is expected to be accompanied by formal announcements in the coming days. This development is likely to inject fresh momentum into the party’s efforts to consolidate its presence in Jammu and Kashmir and could potentially tilt the balance of power in its favor,” the BJP sources added.
