DC Srinagar Leads Assessment Tour Amid Heavy Rainfall, Establishes Control Room for Enhanced Preparedness

Srinagar, Apr 29: Late this evening, Dr. Bilal Bhat, IAS, the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, embarked on a tour of the city to evaluate the impact of the ongoing heavy rainfall. In response to the challenging weather conditions, he took proactive measures by establishing a District Control Room, ensuring round-the-clock functionality to address public grievances and prioritize SOS calls.
Accompanied by his team of officers, Dr. Bhat visited Zero Bridge to assess the water level and directed officials to maintain vigilance throughout the night. This initiative aims to enhance preparedness and response capabilities to effectively manage any emergent situations arising from the inclement weather.
The establishment of the District Control Room underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Srinagar residents during adverse weather conditions. Dr. Bilal Bhat’s proactive approach reflects the administration’s dedication to prompt and efficient crisis management.
