BJP Asserts Readiness for Assembly Elections: “We Will Form the Next Government in J&K,” Says Kishan Reddy

Srinagar,July 16: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fully prepared for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and is confident of forming the next government in the region, said Kishan Reddy, Union Minister and Election Incharge for J&K BJP, while addressing a workshop on ‘Tridev and Morcha Sammelans’ organized by the J&K BJP.
Kishan Reddy, alongside BJP National General Secretary and J&K BJP Prabhari Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, BJP National Secretary Dr. Narinder Raina, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore, former Deputy Chief Ministers Dr. Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta, former Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Manhas, former Minister Sat Sharma CA, General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, and General Secretaries and former Ministers Sunil Sharma and Dr. D.K. Manyal, addressed the workshop.
During his address, Reddy congratulated the party cadre for their success in the recent Lok Sabha elections and highlighted the significance of the abrogation of Article 370. “In the past, we had to agitate and conduct nationwide Yatras to hoist the Tiranga in Srinagar. Today, the Tiranga proudly flies high in every corner of Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
Reddy emphasized the transformative changes under the Modi government, citing a move away from the region’s history of nepotism, corruption, separatism, terrorism, and Hartal calendars, towards unprecedented development. He underscored that the people of J&K now recognize the importance of a BJP government for peace and stability. “With the dedication of party workers and the faith of the people, the BJP is fully prepared for the Assembly elections and will form the next government in J&K,” Reddy asserted.
Tarun Chugh urged the party cadre to be election-ready, advising them to enter election mode immediately and avoid rest until the final day. He stressed the necessity of BJP’s victory in J&K to protect the region from destructive forces. Chugh encouraged party members to leave their homes and workplaces to immerse themselves among the masses during the election months. He highlighted the BJP’s work for all sections of society and prompted party workers to communicate this effectively, contrasting it with the previous governments’ failures.
Ravinder Raina praised the party cadre for their hard work, attributing the recent Lok Sabha election victory to their efforts. He spoke about organizing Tridev & Morcha Sammelans at the Assembly Constituency level and urged a thorough review of voter lists.
Narinder Singh reflected on the political history of J&K and the sacrifices made by BJP, Jana Sangh, Praja Parishad, and Sangh Parivar cadre, while highlighting developments in J&K.
Jugal Kishore Sharma reaffirmed BJP’s commitment to the state’s development, noting the electoral defeat of former Chief Ministers in the Lok Sabha Elections. Dr. Nirmal Singh detailed the President’s address in Parliament, emphasizing the unparalleled achievements of the Modi government. Kavinder Gupta outlined the various public welfare schemes implemented over the past decade.
Ashok Koul discussed the organization of Sammelans, urging leaders to involve the general public in their programs. Sunil Sharma focused on the organization of Morcha Sammelans, while Priya Sethi emphasized the achievements of BJP and the role of individual Morchas.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, who conducted the workshop, presented a detailed PPT on the progress and development in J&K post-Article 370 abrogation. Senior leaders also released a new edition of the party’s monthly magazine, ‘Kamal Paigam’. Earlier, Morcha State Presidents provided reports on the organization of Sammelans.
