3rd National Lok Adalat Organized in Srinagar, Successfully Settles Over 65,000 Cases

Srinagar, Sep 14 (KINS): The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar organized the 3rd National Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex in Mominabad, Srinagar. The event was held under the direction and supervision of Jaffer Hussain Beg, Chairman of DLSA and Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar, along with Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary of DLSA Srinagar.
As per the statement issued to news agency KINS, Jaffer Hussain Beg inaugurated the Lok Adalat, which aimed at the amicable settlement of a wide range of cases. To achieve this, nine benches were constituted to facilitate the process. A total of 72,490 cases were taken up, out of which 65,507 were settled amicably. The settlement process resulted in a total amount of Rs. 7,20,45,110 being awarded.
The event witnessed significant participation from various sectors, including officials from different departments, litigants, advocates, and law students.(KINS)
