Rather Mehraj advocates for early Panchayat Elections in meeting with LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, October 19(KINS): Rather Mehraj, President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Forum and a Sarpanch, met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar today.
The discussion focused on critical issues concerning rural development and the urgent need for panchayat elections.
During the meeting, Mehraj emphasized the necessity of tackling developmental challenges at the grassroots level and urged the Lieutenant Governor to expedite the process for conducting panchayat elections throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
He underscored the pivotal role of panchayats in local governance and their significance in fostering regional progress.
In response, LG Manoj Sinha assured Mehraj that his concerns would be prioritized. The Lieutenant Governor also expressed his commitment to supporting the ongoing developmental initiatives led by Mehraj and the Panchayat Forum, ensuring that these efforts receive the necessary administrative backing.(KINS)
