NC Vice President Omar Abdullah retains Ganderbal Seat, steps down from Budgam

Srinagar , Oct 21 ( KINS) : National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has retained the Ganderbal Assembly seat and resigned from the Budgam Assembly segment. The announcement was made by Speaker Pro-Tem Mubarak Gul during the oath ceremony in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Assembly.
Omar Abdullah’s decision to step down from Budgam follows his victory in both constituencies during the recently concluded Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. This was part of the proceedings during the swearing-in of 90 newly elected MLAs in the J&K UT Assembly.
Speaker Pro-Tem Mubarak Gul presided over the ceremony, where the MLAs pledged to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir, uphold the Constitution, and work towards peace, stability, and development in the region.( KINS)
