Massive search operation launched to trace child reportedly taken by leopard in Devsar Kulgam

Srinagar, Oct 23 (KINS): Massive search operation has been launched in Devsar Kulgam after reports emerged that a child was taken by a leopard in the area.
News agency KINS reported that the Tehsildar of Devsar, along with the SDPO Qazigund and other officials, is on the ground coordinating the efforts to trace the child.
The area is being thoroughly combed by teams of wildlife officials, police, and local volunteers.
The authorities are using all available resources to track the movement of the animal and find the child.
The community has been on high alert following the incident, and forest officials have issued warnings about potential dangers in areas close to the forest. Wildlife officials are working to identify the leopard’s location, hoping to rescue the child as soon as possible.
This tragic event has brought attention to the increasing instances of human-wildlife conflict, particularly in areas bordering forests.(KINS)
