BJP elects Sunil Sharma as Leader of opposition, ‘Narender Singh as Deputy Speaker Candidate’

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Nov 03 (KINS): BJP senior leader and MLA Sunil Sharma has been elected as the Leader of the Opposition (LOP).
The party also said that Narender Singh has been appointed as Deputy Speaker Candidate.
The decision comes after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leadership, along with all 28 of its Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), held a legislative party meeting this afternoon at Church Lane in Sonwar, Srinagar.
The meeting also discussed the BJP’s strategy for the upcoming Assembly session, set to commence tomorrow at the Assembly complex in Srinagar.
With the sudden demise of Devender Rana, MLA from Nagrota, the BJP’s legislative strength has reduced from 29 to 28 members.
The party is expected to take a unified approach during the session, focusing on key issues while firmly establishing its role as the main opposition.(KINS)
