Ishtiyaq Kar

Srinagar, Nov 05 (KINS): Senior National Conference leader and MLA Saifullah Mir Tuesday said that his party will always remember ‘Article 370 and will continue to advocate the restoration of Assembly powers’.
He also mentioned that Article 370 will be discussed in the ongoing Assembly session.
“Article 370 and 35A holds a special place in the hearts of the National Conference members. We are committed to advocate for greater autonomy and the restoration of Article 370,” Mir told news agency KINS.
The National Conference MLA stated that there will be discussions on the Lieutenant Governor’s address as well as on Article 370.
He said that statehood is important for Jammu and Kashmir and expressed his opposition to the current Union Territory status.
Mir also mentioned that the National Conference has taken steps by submitting a resolution to the central government for restoring statehood, which he described as a “positive step”.
He remains hopeful that statehood will eventually be restored.
Mir acknowledged that improvements are needed in water supply, roads, and healthcare services, stating, “We will work to fix these issues and help the people.” He added by saying, “The people have voted for the National Conference, and it is our duty to respect their vote and work on their problems.”(KINS)
