Srinagar, Nov 15 ( KINS ) No INC or JKPCC president has the authority to misinterpret the resolution passed in the last session of the J&K Legislative Assembly,” stated Wahid Parry of the PDP in a recent Twitter post.
However, this claim crumbles under scrutiny, especially since the National Conference (NC) formed a pre-poll alliance with Congress. What Congress says does matter. Yet, it appears the NC failed to confirm Congress’s stance on crucial issues like the events of August 5, 2019, or Articles 370 and 35A during their seat-sharing (or power-sharing) talks.
In his post, Wahid Parry highlighted the glaring contradictions between coalition partners and demanded clarity on what the resolution truly represents. “Let’s put Congress’s stance aside for now,” Parry wrote, “because there are more significant questions to address.”
“I’m sure @RuhullahMehdi sahab will agree that the Deputy CM, who introduced the resolution, holds the authority to interpret it. In an interview with Views Today News, the Deputy CM dismissed any link between the resolution and Article 370, stating:
‘There are 11 states in India with special status. Bihar is pursuing special status. Maharashtra is demanding it. The Assembly is convened, and I’ve tabled a resolution seeking special status similar to other Indian states. Why are you, an educated journalist, repeatedly linking this resolution to Article 370?’
In his Twitter post, Wahid Parry posed a series of direct questions:
Could our Honourable MP clarify this contradiction? Who should the public believe—the Deputy CM or him? Both cannot be correct.
Is he complicit in misleading the people by insisting that the resolution relates to Article 370 when key stakeholders contradict this claim?
Now that their coalition partner has publicly distanced itself and the Deputy CM has stated the resolution is unrelated to Article 370, will Aga Sahab acknowledge that his fiery campaign promises were just rhetoric?
And, speaking of rhetoric—our CM is already on his second Delhi trip this month. Is he advocating for Article 370, 371, statehood… or simply angling for a more comfortable seat of power?
Parry’s tweet underscores the growing discontent over the lack of transparency and consistent messaging within the coalition, raising serious questions about their true intentions and priorities.( KINS )
