Srinagar, Nov 25 (KINS): The Traffic Police in Srinagar continued their stringent crackdown on underage and unlicensed drivers as part of their ongoing efforts to reduce traffic violations.
In a proactive move, authorities also conducted a counseling session for parents of children involved in driving without a valid license.
SSP Traffic Srinagar, Muzafar Shah said, “Our focus in the last several days has been continuously against minor driving. Parents play a crucial role in stopping this practice,” said Muzaffar Shah as per news agency KINS.
He further added that society as a whole must address the issue, and parents need to take greater responsibility in ensuring that their children do not drive without proper authorization.
“The violations are evident, and we are taking steps to control them. But we need all stakeholders—parents, the community, and authorities—to work together,” he said.
The public response to the crackdown has been largely positive, with many citizens applauding the authorities for their efforts in enforcing traffic regulations.
Today, traffic police also conducted an awareness drive to further educate the public on the dangers and legal implications of underage driving.
As part of the ongoing initiative, the authorities are urging all residents to be more vigilant and report any such violations in their neighborhoods to help reduce the number of accidents and ensure safer roads for all. (KINS)
