PM Modi, Amit Shah arriving in Bhubaneswar today to attend DGP Conference

Srinagar, Nov 29 (KINS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are set to arrive in Bhubaneswar today to attend the annual Directors General of Police (DGP) and Inspectors General of Police (IGP) Conference.
The high-profile event is being held at Lokseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, drawing participation from top security officials across the country.
News agency KINS reported that Home Minister Shah arrived today around noon, joining a top gathering that includes National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, senior officers of the Intelligence Bureau, state DGPs, and chiefs of key national security agencies such as the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), National Security Guard (NSG), and Special Protection Group (SPG).
In a post on X ahead of the event, PM Modi highlighted the conference’s importance, saying, “Over the next two days, I will be in Bhubaneswar for the DGP/IGP Conference. Senior police officers from all over India will take part. There will be extensive deliberations on enhancing India’s internal security apparatus. Different aspects relating to policing and improving public safety will be discussed.”
Home Minister Amit Shah echoed similar sentiments on social media, expressing his anticipation: “Leaving for Bhubaneswar (Odisha) to attend the three-day DGP/IGP Conference. The conference, to be presided over by PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, will delve into the aspects of further bolstering Bharat’s security in the face of emerging challenges. Keenly looking forward to attending the program.”
The conference aims to address critical aspects of internal security, law enforcement, and emerging threats, with an emphasis on enhancing public safety and policing effectiveness.
The event is seen as a platform for robust discussion and policy formulation, involving key stakeholders responsible for the nation’s security framework.(KINS)
