Police raids 20 SPA centres in Jammu over illegal activities & verification lapses

Srinagar, Jan 07 (KINS): In a coordinated operation, the Jammu Police carried out simultaneous raids on 20 SPA centres in Jammu after receiving credible reports of illegal activities and a lack of proper employee verification.
SP Jammu South, Ajay Sharma confirmed the raids and highlighted the complaints, especially regarding illegal activities linked to these centres.
The SP as per news gathering agency KINS explained that police were receiving multiple complaints of illicit activities, particularly in newly opened spa centres.
He further emphasized the importance of police verification for employees, which was not being followed by the establishments.
Reffering to the arrest of two persons in Channi Himmat area on the charges of rape in August last year, the officer said a woman from Bihar, who accused her employer of exploitation and immoral acts.
The operation, conducted with the support of the civil administration, was planned under the direction of the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, he added. (KINS)
