LG chairs high-level meeting to review implementation of new Criminal Laws in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 09 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting to review the implementation of three pivotal new criminal laws in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting focused on the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023, aimed at strengthening the justice and security framework in the region.
News gathering agency KINS reported that the meeting, held at Raj Bahawan Jammu, was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, and other senior officials from various departments.
The discussion centered on the operationalization of these laws, their alignment with existing legal frameworks.
LG Sinha emphasized the importance of these laws in providing a more robust, fair, and transparent legal system.
The meeting also discussed the need for better coordination among various stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of these legal reforms.(KINS)
