NGEWA supports EJCC protest call

Srinagar, Jan 13: The Chairman of the Non-Gazetted Employees Welfare Association (NGEWA) and President of the JK Government Employees Conference, Ishtiyaq Beigh, has extended his unwavering support to the legitimate demands raised by the Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC). Addressing the longstanding grievances of government employees, Beigh expressed deep concern over the inordinate delay in releasing GP fund contributions and the overdue 3% allowance.

As a senior trade union leader, Beigh emphasized the urgent need for the government to address these pressing issues without further delay. He highlighted the financial strain and uncertainty faced by employees due to the stalled funds and called for immediate corrective measures.

Supporting the EJCC’s protest call, Beigh appealed to all government employees to unite and actively participate in the scheduled protest at Press Colony on January 16. He stressed that collective action is pivotal in urging the current administration to expedite the release of funds and fulfill its commitments to employees.

In his statement, the NGEWA Chairman reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of government employees. He asserted that prolonged delays in financial entitlements undermine employee morale and productivity. Beigh also called for constructive dialogue between employee representatives and the administration to ensure a swift resolution to these issues.
