Srinagar Jan 27 (KINS): A meeting was held in the office chamber of SKIMS Director, Prof. Mohd. Ashraf Ganie, with the Non-Gazetted Employees Welfare Association (NGEWA) under the chairmanship of Ishtaq Bhag. The meeting was attended by around a dozen NGEWA leaders, and SKIMS Director Finance, Sheikh Intikhab, was also present.
The meeting discussed the restoration of the engineering department to SKIMS to ensure smooth patient care and functional efficiency.
The JK Government Employees Conference and NGEWA SKIMS extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, Health Minister, Chief Secretary, Commissioner Secretary Health, Director SKIMS, and Additional Director SKIMS for addressing the long-pending demands of senior employees.
This development recognizes the dedication and hard work of senior employees who have ensured the smooth functioning of SKIMS despite acute manpower shortages. The amendment in the SFC rules will pave the way for promotions, rectifying the injustice caused by the 2014 modifications.
The JK Government Employees Conference and NGEWA SKIMS appreciate the administration’s efforts to ensure fairness and merit in the promotion process. However, they urge the authorities to address the plight of 187 casual laborers who have been serving SKIMS for over two decades, seeking regularization of their services.
