Candlelight marches held across Kulgam to protest Ex-Soldier’s Killing ‘No religion permits the killing of innocents; such acts are an attack on humanity’: Locals

Kulgam, Feb 04 (KINS): Candlelight marches were held at multiple locations in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday to protest the killing of a former Army soldier by terrorists in the Behibagh area a day earlier.
News agency KINS reported that the People from all walks of life, including civil society members, gathered in Qazigund, Devsar, Wanpoh, Pahloo, Kulgam, Behibagh, DH Pora, Manzgam, Yaripora, and other places.
The protesters raised slogans against the targeted killings and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
“We strongly condemn the killing of innocents. There is no justification for such acts, which are an attack on humanity,” the demonstrators said.
“No religion in the world allows the killing of an innocent person. Such attacks are a direct assault on humanity, and we must collectively denounce them in the strongest terms,” they added.
With resolute determination, the participants urged the authorities to swiftly identify and bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.
Notably, a former Army soldier was killed, while his wife and niece sustained injuries after terrorists attacked them in the Behibagh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday. (KINS)
