Jammu, Feb 04 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition, Sunil Sharma, has expressed serious concerns over the rising crime rate in Jammu and urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take immediate measures to ensure public safety.
During a meeting with the LG, Sharma discussed the deteriorating law and order situation, highlighting the recent surge in thefts, murders, and robberies across Jammu.
He emphasized that the growing crime wave has instilled fear among residents and called for enhanced policing, stricter law enforcement, and effective measures to curb criminal activities.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve a safe and secure environment. Rising crime not only threatens public safety but also negatively impacts tourism and economic development,” Sharma stated.
