Srinagar, July 17 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday announced the immediate operationalization of the Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra (LGSSK) from its offices at the Civil Secretariat in both Jammu and Srinagar.

According to news agency KINS, LG Manoj Sinha informed that the LGSSK will function as a dedicated Soldiers’ Assistance and Liaison Cell, serving as a single-window platform to receive, assess, and facilitate timely resolution of civilian grievances submitted by serving personnel from the Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

“This initiative will especially benefit soldiers who are either currently posted in Jammu & Kashmir or originally belong to the Union Territory and are serving elsewhere in the country”.

“LGSSK reaffirms my commitment to uphold the welfare and dignity of our soldiers by ensuring timely and structured redressal of their civilian concerns through an institutional platform,” LG said.

“Apart from grievance redressal, the Kendra will also play a key role in coordinating appointments with relevant civil and police officials at the district level, ensuring soldiers and their families receive swift administrative support without unnecessary hurdles”.

Calling the initiative a significant step in support of the armed forces community, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the government remains deeply committed to serving those who protect the nation, both in uniform and beyond.(KINS)
