Rebuilding of Chashoti Village to begin soon; High-level meeting to finalize roadmap: LoP Sunil Sharma

Srinagar, Aug 24 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma on Sunday announced that the rebuilding of Chashoti village, which was severely affected by a devastating cloudburst, will commence shortly.

Sharma, as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), said that consultations with stakeholders are already underway to finalize a comprehensive rehabilitation plan. “A high-level meeting will soon outline the roadmap for reconstructing homes before the onset of winter. Our goal is to restore the village’s former glory and ensure rehabilitation of all those who lost their homes and livelihoods,” he said.

The LoP assured that priority would be given to providing secure housing and livelihood support to the affected families, stressing that no effort would be spared in bringing normalcy back to Chashoti.

It is to mention here that in the aftermath of the devastating cloudburst in Chasoti, Padder,LoP Sunil Sharma has been continuously working on the ground to support the relief and rescue operations.

Sunil Sharma as per KINS said that whether it is coordinating with agencies and volunteers, consoling families in grief, guiding the authorities, or holding discussions with the Army—he is doing everything possible to stand with people in the area.

“In this hour of pain, I remain committed with all my strength to serve humanity and to bring every possible help to the affected families,” he said. (KINS)
