Karra Chairs Congress meeting in Srinagar, finalizes ‘Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq’ Programmes

Srinagar, Sept 01 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday reiterated Congress’ commitment to restore the statehood, dignity, and honour of Jammu and Kashmir, while assuring that the party will continue to fight for justice for the people “pushed into darkness by the BJP Government at the Centre.”

Karra was speaking while chairing a meeting of Coordinators and District Presidents of the Kashmir region at the party headquarters in Srinagar. Senior leaders, legislators, and former legislators attended the meeting and briefed him on organizational activities and the prevailing political situation in their respective districts.

The meeting finalized upcoming programmes across Kashmir under the campaign Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq, aimed at the restoration of complete statehood. These programmes will extend to block and village levels. The leaders also discussed other organizational matters and resolved to launch further public outreach initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir.

Reaffirming the party’s stand, Karra said, “The BJP Government at the Centre cannot silence Congress. We are determined to bring back the statehood that was unjustly taken away to punish and disempower the people of J&K.”

He further stressed that under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, the party will continue its struggle for the empowerment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and “will not rest until complete statehood is restored.”(KINS)
