Zabarvan Legends Series Debuts in Gulmarg
Srinagar Sep 01: Showcasing the Spirit of Mountain Sports in India Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir — 9th to 12th October — the breathtaking meadows and alpine trails of Gulmarg will soon come alive with a new rhythm as the Zabarvan Legends Series, India’s premier international mountain sports event, launches its inaugural edition in the Valley. Known globally for its winter slopes, Gulmarg is now set to showcase another side of its grandeur — as a summer destination for world-class adventure sports.
The inaugural Gulmarg event will feature top-tier international and national mountain bikers racing through challenging trails that cut across alpine forests, rolling meadows, and steep descents, testing both skill and endurance. Designed to test stamina and skill, the course highlights the region’s untapped potential for summer adventure sports, positioning Gulmarg not just as a winter haven but as a year-round hub for outdoor recreation.
With 50 athletes registered, including 25 international participants, this event marks one of the most diverse gatherings of mountain sports professionals in India.

Supported by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir and backed by leading partners, the Gulmarg leg of the Zabarvan Legends Series is designed to highlight the unique synergy between adventure sport and sustainable tourism.
The series will continue with upcoming editions in Shillong and Guwahati, linking together the country’s most breathtaking landscapes under a single banner of sport and sustainability.
