Srinagar, Sep 16 (KINS): Leader of Opposition (LOP) Sunil Sharma has written to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, seeking the postponement of the upcoming Munsiff and 10+2 Lecturer examinations scheduled to be conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
In his letter, Sharma underlined the grave difficulties being faced by aspirants across the Union Territory due to recurring natural disruptions. He noted that frequent landslides, cloudbursts, and damaged roads have left several areas cut off, making it nearly impossible for students to reach designated examination centres.
Sharma further highlighted that poor internet connectivity in many parts of J&K has compounded the crisis, preventing students from downloading admit cards and accessing essential study material. He stressed that these issues have created a digital divide, leaving students from remote and flood-affected areas at a severe disadvantage compared to their peers.
Calling the situation “deeply unfair” to the student community, the LOP appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to intervene immediately and direct the JKPSC to defer the examinations until normalcy is restored. “Every aspirant deserves an equal and fair chance to appear in these competitive exams,” Sharma emphasized.(KINS)
