Jammu, Oct 04 (KINS):The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, held a key meeting of its Core Committee at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to review organizational progress, assess the prevailing political situation, and strategize future public outreach initiatives.
The meeting was chaired by Tarun Chugh, BJP National General Secretary and Prabhari for J&K, and attended by Sat Sharma, President J&K BJP, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), along with senior party leaders including Dr. Narinder Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, Ravinder Raina, and other key office bearers and functionaries.
The committee reviewed the successful completion of the Sewa Pakhwada 2025—a fortnight-long nationwide campaign organized from September 17 (Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday) to October 2 (the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri). The campaign saw massive participation across Jammu & Kashmir, featuring activities such as cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, plantation initiatives, Ayushman Bharat awareness programmes, and welfare outreach for the underprivileged.
Addressing the meeting, Tarun Chugh described Sewa Pakhwada as a powerful medium to connect directly with people through meaningful service. He said the campaign was not only a tribute to Prime Minister Modi but also a reaffirmation of the BJP’s core philosophy of Seva, Sushasan aur Gareeb Kalyan (service, good governance, and welfare of the poor). He urged party workers to continue this spirit of service throughout the year and act as ambassadors of public welfare and good governance.
Sat Sharma, while highlighting the ongoing Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, said the campaign—launched on September 25, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, and culminating on December 25, the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee—aims to make self-reliance a people’s movement. “On the call of Prime Minister Modi, BJP will ensure this mission reaches every section of society, promoting Vocal for Local and empowering villages, farmers, youth, women, and the poor,” he said.
Dr. Jitendra Singh lauded the transformative governance and developmental strides being made in Jammu & Kashmir under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and last-mile delivery of welfare schemes to ensure that every beneficiary is reached. “The collective resolve must be to intensify organizational work, strengthen public outreach, and make every citizen a stakeholder in the journey towards self-reliance,” he added.
Ashok Koul called for stronger coordination among party functionaries, greater engagement at the grassroots, and a renewed commitment to carry forward the message of Seva, Swadeshi, and Self-Reliance to every household in Jammu & Kashmir.(KINS)
