IGP Kashmir reviews security and traffic arrangements for Darbar Move

Srinagar, October 31: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi (IPS) chaired a high-level meeting at the Police Control Room to review security and traffic arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Darbar Move from Srinagar to Jammu.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Traffic Police, Security Wing, intelligence agencies, BSF, CRPF, and other allied departments.

Detailed discussions were held regarding convoy security, personnel deployment, night patrolling, and inter-agency coordination. IGP Kashmir directed intensified checking, nakas, and quick response deployment at vulnerable stretches, particularly along Qazigund, Banihal, Ramban, and Udhampur sectors.

He also reviewed security at railway stations, directing enhanced surveillance and coordination with the Railway Police. Emphasising synergy among all units, IGP Kashmir appreciated the collaborative efforts and urged officers to ensure safe, smooth, and incident-free movement of official convoys.(KINS)
